A Taiwanese New Year Party
This event is only held for Taiwanese student who is studying abroad in Birmingham by the Networking team from several Birmingham City University MA students. We set the theme as a retro party in the 1980s, which originated from the popular Netflix drama in Taiwan ‘Light the Night’. Not only for the party dress code but for the key visual as well. The name comes from the homonym of 2022 for the lunar year of the ‘tiger’ combined with the Taiwanese homonym, conveying the meaning of celebrating the lunar new year together.
本次活動由多位2022在伯明翰城市大學的碩士生合作為在伯明翰留學的台灣學生舉辦。我們將主題設定為 1980 年代的複古派對，起源於台灣熱門的 Netflix 劇集《華燈初上》。不僅適用於派對著裝要求，還運用在視覺設計。名稱來源於2022為農曆虎年結合乾杯台語的諧音，傳達一同歡慶農曆年的意思。

海報採用台灣傳統日曆風格設計。
以幽默的方式，用英語和中文混合的同音俚語，描述了當時的禁忌、地點及時間。時間又以傳統農民曆上表達時辰的十二地支呈現，增添知識解謎的趣味。
活動當天為農曆初五，另外翹皮的加上魏如萱「你啊你啊」最著名的歌詞。
They were designed in the style of a traditional Taiwanese calendar. It showed a humorous way with homonymic slang mixed with English and Mandarin and added information about the taboos of the day.
Also used the traditional method of time expression instead of directly showing the opening time, to increase the interest and the sense of mystery. besides all the details of the event, there was a part of the lyric which has so many '5' sounds hidden in it, seems it unrelated but it did, due to the date of the event being the 5th day of the Lunar New Year.

The main idea came from the religious joss paper money which is used for worship. In Taiwanese culture, we burned paper money equals to send money to those passed family members or other deaths, but due to avoid negative thoughts, we did not add the spelling elements that the original paper money had, we used Bubble tea image instead.

主要發想來自於金紙，但因為不想引起負面想法，因此不加入原本金紙有的符咒元素，改為珍珠奶茶的造型。順帶一提，全為純手工印制。
